Jill Greenberg just made every “celebrity” portrait photographer’s future life more miserable. As if we aren’t leashed tightly enough already. Publicists are already demanding the right to chimp and delete on set. And magazine art directors and editors are not known for the fortitude of their backbones with regards to celebrities, so this will contribute to a situation that’s going to become unworkable real quick. (that said, I agree with her politics here, and these John McCain images hit hard)

RABID FOX Bunny Love

omg. i want. i want. i want.

RABID FOX Bunny Love

adorable sailor collar.

I've ran out of sailor themed titles

seems like it'd be pretty easy to make one too.
i guess all those years of watching sailormoon had some sort of influence.

so cute

she turned these.......

into these!

howwwwww cool!

also, inspiration....this coat is pretty cute/really inovative. makes me think of high fashion.

if i were to remake this coat or pull from it. I'd create a much more fitted body, with the extra fabric for the lapels/hood part. perhaps even make it longer. like thigh or knee length!

Fibers/fashion inspiration!

Dude. I soooooooooo want to take a fibers class. but a reallllly epic class, with more freedom of creativity. i also want to learn to sew.

via lalatheartgeek!

adorable inspiration from ANIMAL TALK!

Although I am in the midst of designing and sewing an entire collection, today i felt like i'd been wasting too much time this summer and that i haven't done enough creative projects. I made this cape out of loads of paper, some double-sided tape, interfacing and Black canvas. I was so pleased with the way that it turned out that i want to make another - sturdier - version with thicker paper and probably in a different color.
besides being fucking sweet from the side, the designer is so adorable(she is pictured in the photo) pretty red hair, and perfect skin!

so so great

FEIST IS AMAZING!

Giant Polaroid Flipbook Machine Holds 987 'Roids, Plays Your Short Film

Can it get any more adorably indie than a short film portrayed on 987 Polaroids that display flipbook-style on a giant drum inside a machine called the "Process Enacted Mutoscope"? I'm thinking no. The rig is pretty cool, though—letting you control the speed of playback frame-by-frame, as you can see in the video that follows. The obvious genre for films using the ol' Mutoscope, though, should be "Victorian Softcore."

votives.

There are some new tabletop items at Williams-Sonoma Home right now including these fabulous bone china seashell votives. So pretty.

(via: love made visible)

i just found an adorable artichoke shaped votive the other day. i debate wether or not to get it but....i didn't. i've been looking for cute little pieces to put on my desk or places in my section of the apartment.

Vogue’s Fashion Photos Spark Debate in India

“A man modeled a Burberry umbrella in Vogue that costs about $200. Some 456 million Indians live on less than $1.25 a day.”
