american express
i'm not sure if you've seent them but i've been loving the american express credit card commercials. so great.
the Diane Von Furstenberg is my favorite one, because of the music, imagery and videography. and as soon as i saw her on screen i knew it was her. I love how she's shown drawing inspiration from nature, how she says falling into fashion was a complete accident. and how she want's to make women feel more confident, "to be confident makes you beautiful makes you happy makes you fufilled."
This has to be my second favorite american express ad. I love Kate Winslet, and i love how dreamy this commercial is. i remember being excited every time i'd see it on t.v. I like the idea that she's telling the story of her life and it has all these crazy elements to it, and then you realize she's talking about her career. So great.
The Wes Anderson Commercial is great too. I love his voice, and it's so much fun to watch, because it's like a mini film. Colors, and cinematography are all great because it's all him. And i love the final shot where he is raised in the chair and tells you why he's a card member.
Even though i'm not a big fan of Shyamalan, i like this commercial as well. I love how it focuses on what he says "his time to dream". i relate a lot to the fact that he draws from what's around him, and i find that all highly interesting.
And Shaun White, who can forget this? he's very interesting on his own accord, i think he has an awesome look to him, i wouldn't mind meeting him either. but i love how this commercial follows his seemingly hectic lifestyle, and shows the fun personality he has.
I've seen projects and emulations before, and most of the time i love them because it's an opportunity to see a persons individual style and characteristics in a new way. Overall i just love the commercials because they are so true to the artists, they all are shot beautifully, the 'scores' are great. and each commercial is dreamy in it's own way.
